Punjab gets 2 more sacred forests in a week "Gurdaspur and Chandigarh"

EcoSikh in collaboration with Afforestt created two more Guru Nanak Sacred Forests in Chandigarh and Gurdaspur respectively.

Both these forests were created during forest making workshops in which trainees from various facets of life participated in large numbers and learned Miyawaki technique of afforestation with hands-on experience.

Guru Nanak Sacred Forest in Chandigarh is situated in Sri Guru Gobind Singh College Sector 26 Chandigarh. And has around 600 trees of 35 different native species.
The Gurdaspur’s Guru Nanak Sacred Forest is situated in Sri Guru Harkrishan International School, Behrampur Road comprising 550 trees of 28 different species. 

More such forests will be planted to commemorate Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s 550th birth anniversary.
