ਬੁੱਢਾ ਦਰਿਆ , ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਜੰਗਲ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
550 trees of native species of Punjab have been planted at the site with the help of volunteers and workers from the village. Many of these trees have disappeared from Punjab but they are being preserved in these sacred forests. Over 400 such forests have been planted.
550 ਰੁੱਖ ਉਹ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਚੋਂ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। 35 ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਰੁੱਖ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਚ ਲਗਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। 400 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਜੰਗਲ ਈਕੋਸਿੱਖ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲਾਏ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਵੱਧ ਰਹੇ ਤਾਪਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਰੋਕਣ ਦਾ ਇਹੀ ਹੱਲ ਹੈ। ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੋਕ, ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਚ ਬੱਚੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਭ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹਵਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਜੁਟੇ।
