She exhorted the residents to ensure that the saplings are protected for two years so that they serve the families for an entire lifetime. Ms. Giri congratulated the gathering of Palm Grove and Paradise Greens residents and planted a tree in the colony along with the teams from EcoAmritsar, WWF, Baba Sewa Singh Khadur Sahib & the residents. Gunbir Singh, Chairman, EcoAmritsar stated that we shall be happy to provide the wherewithal & coordination for the project for all communities that are willing to become Zero Garbage colonies, and therefore self sustainable. To meet the targeted Clean & Green Amritsar Goal by 2017, our teams are working in tandem with institutions & citizens alike who are willing to participate in the betterment of the city, and in turn improving the environmental conditions of their dwelling areas.
