EcoSikh Job in Ludhiana – Nursery Manager, Guru Nanak Sacred Forests

Ecosikh Charitable Society is currently looking for candidates to fill the position of “Guru Nanak Sacred Forest Nursery Manager”. The job will be based in Ludhiana, Punjab. The incumbent will be a motivated self-starter who has commitment to the environment, and is able to utilize the knowledge of Sikh teachings and principles to inspire, motivate and work for sustainability projects.

The candidate is expected to have excellent communication in both verbal and written in Punjabi and English.

Job description: Nursery Manager, Guru Nanak Sacred Forests
Location: Ludhiana/ Punjab
Dated: March 31, 2022
Contract period:  6 Months (can be extended to another 12 months)

Monthly salary will be 10,000/- INR – 14,000/- INR, will be determined based on capability, skills and experience.

Key responsibilities may include:

1. Learning and grasping all the needful training to perform in the desired role.
2. Keeping up the nursery stock and tools inventory.
3. Unloading and category-wise placement of arriving sapling stock.
4. Preparing Jeevamrit.
5. Arrangement of logistics for sapling transport
6. Managing Nursery Labour.
7. Loading and delivering saplings to Guru Nanak Sacred Forest Project Sites as per requirements.
8. Regular maintenance – watering, de-weeding, shifting etc. of saplings
9. Forest making in addition to nursery management.
