550 Guru Nanak Sacred Forests have been planted in Punjab and other parts of India
Over 550 such forests have been planted. 550 trees of native species of Punjab have been planted at each site with the help of volunteers and workers from the village. Many of these trees have disappeared from Punjab but are preserved in these sacred forests.
ਇਹ ਰੁੱਖ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਚ ਹੀ 12-15 ਤੋਂ 25 ਫੁੱਟ ਲੰਮੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਜੀਵ ਜੰਤੂ ਭਉਰੇ ਤਿਤਲੀਆਂ ਆਦਿ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਣੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਦੀ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਜਾਊ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
