Vill. Shahabpur, Nawanshahr, Oct 2 – EcoSikh team planted the 353rd Guru Nanak Sacred Forest. The forest was planted with the kind support of Sikh Sports UK, S. Agamdeep Singh from Ludhiana, Sardar Hari Singh Nalwa Youth Club Shahabpur, and the Village of Shahbpur. In this forest, 550 trees of 42 native tree species are planted with the Miyawaki method of aforestation. Locals including the members of S.Hari Singh Nalwa Youth Club as well as the Sarpanch of the village took part in the plantation and learned about the native trees that are planted in this forest.
